What is Econometrics?
-Can mean differenct things to dirrerent people
-Formally defined
Econometirs is the quantitative measurement and analysis of actual business and economic phenomena.
-Edonometrics attempts to quantitatively bridge gap between economic theory and the real world
-in practive, econometrics has three major uses.

What is the three major uses of Econometrics:
Use 1: Diescribing economic reality
- Eonometrics can quantify and measure marginal effects and estimate numbers for theoretica equations.
- For example, consumer demand for a product often can be thought of as a relationship between the quantity demanded (Q) and its price (P), the price of a substitue (Ps), and disposable income (Yd).

y : chicken demand
x1: chicken price
x2: beef price
x3: dispossable income
we call this equation as dependent variable
y = β0 + β1X1 + β2X2 + β3X3 + ε
